Giancarlo Taraski
Giancarlo Taraski, the artistic name chosen by Giancarlo Taraschi, was born in 1962 in Turin, the city where he currently lives and works—although he fondly claims to have been conceived beneath the shadow of Mount Vesuvius by truly Neapolitan parents. From a young age, he nurtured a deep passion for art, becoming a self-taught painter.
Taraski’s pictorial alchemy reflects the influence of Eastern philosophies on the fundamental energies of the universe, a presence visible in both his artistic style and his signature, Ki, which he deliberately draws from those traditions.
Taraschi has exhibited his work in numerous solo and group shows both in Italy and abroad, including prominent venues such as Palazzo Mazzetti in Asti and the international stage of “Art Basel Miami” in Florida, where he presented a show titled Just an Illusion.
In his own words: “I believe that every painter dreams of creating an image that remains etched in the visual memory of a generation—or even better, an era. I hope this might happen to me as well.”
This biography captures the essence and artistic journey of Giancarlo Taraski—a painter who, through his Neapolitan flair and Piedmontese poise, has made a meaningful impact on the contemporary art scene.
