The Beginnings

"Our story came to life in the 1990s with the founding of Artmida Edizioni Arte, the first company that opened the doors to the marvelous and fascinating world of art. It was a time filled with enthusiasm, shared dreams, and memorable events that profoundly shaped our journey. Every project, every exhibition, and every collaboration helped to form our identity, allowing us to grow with passion and dedication throughout this extraordinary artistic journey."
Twelve talented artists paid tribute to the timeless genius of Leonardo da Vinci, reinterpreting his legacy through their unique creative language. A deep dialogue between past and present, where art reflects art, giving life to works that celebrate the universality and innovation of the Renaissance master. A show that united tradition and contemporaneity, offering audiences a unique visual and cultural experience.

1994

“The Artist's Eye on Leonardo” – An extraordinary event by Artmida, hosted in the evocative setting of the Ancient Arsenal of Amalfi.

1995

“In the Clouds, My Horses”, a solo exhibition by Aligi Sassu – An unforgettable Artmida event, hosted in the majestic Ancient Arsenal of Amalfi.
The stars of the exhibition were Sassu’s extraordinary watercolors—works that captured the movement and poetry of his iconic horses, suspended between dream and reality. Sassu, with his unique vision, loved to define painting as “a sweet madness that finds its way inside us.” On that special occasion, we had the immense privilege of celebrating his 83 years of life, filled with creativity, passion, and success. An emotional evening that left an indelible mark on the hearts of all those present, honoring an artist who transformed dreams into eternal art.
The exhibition featured the magnificent oil paintings of Treccani, an internationally renowned artist who made art a universal language capable of transcending cultural and temporal boundaries. His delicate, expressive faces conveyed stories of humanity, nature, and memory, engaging the viewer in a profound, emotional dialogue.

1996

Solo exhibition by Ernesto Treccani – A remarkably elegant Artmida event, hosted in the enchanting setting of the Ancient Arsenal of Amalfi.

1997

“Timeless Amalfi”, a solo exhibition by Silvestro Pistolesi – Organized by Artmida in the magical atmosphere of the Ancient Arsenal of Amalfi.
The show presented a series of oil paintings inspired by the artist’s stay in Amalfi and other evocative spots along the coast and the Valley of the Mills. Infused with poetry and light, the works portrayed a journey through natural beauty—sun-soaked lemon pergolas, rooftops with unique perspectives, and the melancholic charm of old abandoned paper mills. Pistolesi captured the essence of an enchanted nativity scene, creating a timeless vision of Amalfi that celebrated the harmony between art and landscape, between reality and dream.

The Birth of Kòine Arte

"In the year 2000, at the dawn of the new millennium, Kòine Arte was born—a project that, over the past 25 years, has undergone an extraordinary journey of growth and evolution. Thanks to our passion, continuous dedication, and the potential offered by the web, we have succeeded in reaching an increasingly broader audience. Starting from the national and European scene, today we proudly speak to a global public, bringing our artistic and cultural vision beyond all borders."
This special event, organized shortly after the artist’s passing, was a tribute to his extraordinary artistic and spiritual vision. The exhibited works were part of an ambitious project inspired by the mystical and poetic “Song of Songs,” which Sergio was unable to complete, leaving behind a legacy that, though unfinished, was rich with meaning. His works served as a bridge between the earthly and the divine, reflecting the depth of his inner exploration and inseparable connection with his art. His words, almost like a testament, echoed prophetically: “I am bound to my art by an umbilical cord that only the wisdom of death can sever.” This event was not just an exhibition, but a moment of reflection and celebration of the life and creativity of an artist who turned his soul into visual poetry.

2001

“The Last Song of the Century” – A moving solo exhibition dedicated to Sergio Nelly Aglietti, held in the evocative cloister of Santa Maria La Nova in Naples.

2002

“On the Canvas and Beyond” – A remarkable solo exhibition by Patrizia Balzerano, held in the refined setting of the Cloister of Santa Maria La Nova in Naples.
This event marked a turning point in the work of the Neapolitan painter, known for her refined sensibility and unique style. In this exhibition, Balzerano introduced a revolutionary vision of painting, transforming it into an artwork that breaks through the traditional limits of the canvas. Her creations expanded beyond the frame, blending harmoniously with it to form a visual and conceptual continuum that conveyed a sense of the infinite. Her scenes, rich with emotion and meaning, were distinguished by their vitality and dynamism. Nothing in her works is static: the images seem to pulse with life, animated by a joyful energy that invites the viewer to immerse themselves in a perpetual movement—or at least imagine it. “On the Canvas and Beyond” was not just an exhibition but an artistic journey that widened the horizons of traditional painting.
In this event, Cacace transported us into a mythical sea—a boundless voyage of the mind—populated by visions of sirens and tritons hidden among swaying algae and vibrant coral. It was an ancestral call for the artist, a timeless ritual invoking the power of Poseidon, Lord of the Seas, who rises majestically from the depths, bearing with him the strength and mystery of an ancient domain. The sea became a mirror of universal transformation, discovery, and constant rebirth—a powerful symbol of our fragility and our infinite connection with the origin of life. This vision revealed Mater Mediterranea: the liquid womb of our existence, a source of life and keeper of our deepest desires, capable of embracing all with its eternal hug of hope and love. In this sacred refuge, every being seeks, contemplates, and lives the infinite “declinations” of Love. There, in the fullness of Memory, the greatest Love is embraced—the one that transcends, welcomes, and, like a perfect circle, completes the meaning of Life.

2004

“Mater Mediterranea” – A solo exhibition by Vincenzo Cacace, held in the Cloister of Santa Maria La Nova, Naples.

2005

“Timeless Moments” – A solo exhibition by Patrizia Balzerano, held at the Città della Scienza in Naples.
Time, with its relentless flow, reveals itself as an inexhaustible source of inspiration, giving us its signs, testimonies, images, and memories that we treasure as a precious legacy. In this event, the artist immersed herself in the characters of her paintings, reliving emotions, situations, and long-dormant feelings. In this profound connection lies the magic of art: the ability to make the past and present speak to one another, to transform memories into new narratives that touch the soul.
An event of extraordinary charm set in the historic Sala delle Prigioni, where art and atmosphere merged in perfect balance with the magical works of Vinanti—an artist capable of translating universal emotions into deeply intense images. The works, true masterpieces of surrealism inspired by his beloved Tuscan landscapes, represented a journey into imaginary worlds where reality blends with illusion. His female figures, wrapped in transparent veils that evoke the fine line between dream and reality, embodied ethereal sensuality—a symbol of fragility and strength. A powerful reminder of how art can be a bridge between the visible and the invisible.

2008

“Surreal Details” – A solo exhibition by Maurizio Vinanti, held at Castel dell’Ovo – Hall of the Prisons, Naples.

2013

“Fatte Pitta” – A solo exhibition by Maurizio Vinanti, held at Castel dell’Ovo – Hall of the Terraces, Naples.
Maurizio Vinanti returned with a show entirely dedicated to Naples and its songs. Music, color, and breathtaking views came together to create a series of fantastic paintings. With his signature surrealist style, the artist told a dreamlike tale of the Neapolitan streets, its people, and the city's vibrant soul—its smells, sounds, words… and music! The poetic art of Carla Adamo, his inseparable life and artistic partner, once again accompanied Vinanti’s works, adding verse to color. Vinanti has a secret bond with Naples—a connection that began with his father's passion for the city and its immortal music. He grew up listening to classic Neapolitan songs, often playing from a black Philips tape recorder during family moments. Destiny later strengthened this connection professionally, and the idea of blending his painting with Neapolitan music—especially specific songs that brought him back to his youth—finally became reality. With great pride and emotion, this project was shared with all those who love art and are moved by it.
With ’A Tumbulella, Maestro Vinanti gifted the public a stunning collection of 90 works inspired by the numbers of the “Smorfia,” the ancient Neapolitan tradition linked to the game of tombola. This captivating artistic journey explored a vibrant, colorful Naples, seen by the artist as a true “open-air theater”, where every street, square, and character tells a story. In this lively setting, Vinanti imagined the tombola numbers as characters in a continuous play, recreating them on his mixed-media panels with masterful creativity. Some of these works were dedicated to his places of origin, portraying moments tied to his childhood memories—scenes from an authentic, nostalgic Tuscany, where emotion and memory intertwine. A whirlwind of color and emotion!
